We all know that Las Vegas is a crazy place but what people don't always know is that there is a huge variety of excellent and exciting animal exhibits in Las Vegas. The best Las Vegas animal exhibits have exotic and domestic animals alike, in humane habitats, at all of our favorite Las Vegas hotels. These are two of our favorite animal exhibits in Vegas.

• Flamingo Habitat Las Vegas: The pink neon of the Flamingo Hotel is a Las Vegas icon that no one can miss on the Strip and the Flamingo Habitat hosts live birds of the same pink fame! With over 300 birds, including the Chilean flamingos, pheasants and swan, the lush greenery of this Las Vegas escape will keep you relaxed and enjoying the wildlife.
• Las Vegas Zoo: The Southern Nevada Zoological Botanical Park is the only zoo in Las Vegas and houses over 150 species of animals and plants. Don't miss out on all of these cool rare species of animal: Canadian river otters, fossas, American alligators and Indo-Chinese tigers. The great variety and educational goals of the zoo make it one of the best animal exhibits Las Vegas has.

Big Animal Exhibits Vegas

If pink-feathered birds aren't quite your cup of tea, maybe fierce predatory animals will be the types of Las Vegas animal exhibits you'll find exciting. If long claws and sharp teeth make you happy, check out the awesome big animal exhibits Las Vegas hotels love to provide for you.

• Shark Reef Mandalay Bay: With more than 2,000 animals in 1.6 million gallons of seawater this is one of the Las Vegas animal exhibits that will keep you occupied for hours. The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay is the only predator based aquarium in North America, featuring sharks, saw-fish, giant rays, sea turtles, piranhas and rare golden crocodiles. 
  Want to take your experience to the next level? Certified scuba divers can take a dip with these sharkies. Is 30 types sharks the most you've ever swam with? Well, at least 30 that you were aware of!
• Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden: Not only can you see the gorgeous snow white tigers that Siegfried and Roy are famous for at this Las Vegas animal exhibit at the Mirage Hotel, but you can also see friendly, playful dolphins and llamas! This is an animal exhibit and not an animal show, however, so do not expect any of the tricks you would see in a show.

Las Vegas Aquariums

Las Vegas has some of the coolest aquariums in the world. These animal exhibits in Las Vegas feature marine life from all over the world and, if you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a mermaid or two! If relaxing and watching the mesmerizing underwater antics of fish appeals to you, there are great Las Vegas animal exhibits for you to visit.

• The Mirage Aquarium: This aquarium features more than 60 species of underwater life from Australia, Hawaii, Tonga, Fiji, the Red Sea, the Marshall Islands, the Sea of Cortez and the Caribbean. It's located right behind the Mirage's front desk so make sure you take some time to enjoy it when you aren't stalling the check-in line!
• Silverton Mermaid Aquarium: The 117,000 gallons of water with over 4,000 living fish, rays and sharks might be enough for a regular aquarium but in Las Vegas it's par for the course to need something special - at the Silverton Casino Lodge they also have mermaids in the tank at various times all day long!
• Atlantis Aquarium at Caesars Palace: The 50,000 gallon Atlantis Aquarium might not have mermaids but check with the hotel to find out when divers go into the tank to feed the fish. It usually occurs twice daily and the feeding frenzy is a Las Vegas must-see.
