Worth the watch

The free fountain show uses lifelike animatronic figures to recount the myth of Atlantis. We gambled ourselves out and decided to do something for free lol...all in all it wasn't bad and it gave our wallets a well deserved break! If you go...get there early..it gets crowded.

Since 1966, Caesars Palace has been dazzling Las Vegas visitors and locals alike who flock to the Roman-themed resort for the best in dining, entertainment and nightlife. The hotel itself boasts some of the most fabulous guest rooms and suites in the city, as well as big-screen worthy penthouses ala The Hangover and Rainman. The attention to detail is apparent at their stunning Spago restaurant and at nightlife hotspot Pure.

The sprawling grounds offers a plethora of choices from the huge Garden of the Gods pool complex to the Qua Baths and Spa.

Summary

Features: Deep inside the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace Resort and Casino, the Fall of Atlantis is a free family-friendly show about the myth of Atlantis featuring impressive talking animatronic figures, lasers, water, fog and fire effects.

Why We Go: On the top of every hour this seemingly normal appearing fountain transforms into an amazing battle between siblings fighting for the thrown of Atlantis when the Gods decide to intervene with the power of fire and ice, which eventually destroys Atlantis in a dramatic sinking finish.

  • It's Free: A Vegas vacation can easily go over budget. Take advantage of free entertainment the whole family can enjoy like the Fall of Atlantis show.
  • The Aquarium: Behind the show rests a 50,000-gallon saltwater aquarium housing over 100 species of ocean life including tropical puffers, flounders and sharks.

Inside Knowledge: Everyday at 1:15 pm and 5:15 pm, you can watch as a diver feeds the aquarium's inhabitants by hand.

Do's and Don'ts:

  • Do Get to the Show Early: The Fall of Atlantis fountain show tends to get very crowded. Get to the show early in order to get a good spot for your kids to easily view the entire show without obstructions.
  • Don't Let Your Kids Get Scared: Be prepared for the show's dramatic finish with fire blasts and a loud 20-foot winged bird that could potentially scare young children.
