Las Vegas Pool Parties: Our Five Favorite This Summer in Vegas

Sure, it's only June, but with desert temperatures already hovering around the 100 degree mark and the usual influx of beautiful bodies back in Sin City, Las Vegas pool parties are the only reasonable place to be while the sun is shining this summer in Vegas.

After all, it's Vegas - the party never really ends. So who's to stay you can't start the festivities early with some swimming/dancing/drinking/ogling at the hottest ... errr ... coolest (?) pool parties in Vegas? Nobody worth listening to, if you ask us.

Anyways, since we're the Vegas insiders and you're the one ready to party, here's a list of our five favorite 2012 pool parties in Las Vegas, in no particular order ...

Rehab Sundays at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

Few parties in Las Vegas carry as strong a misnomer as that of the ironically named Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. While we truly doubt that Rehab Sundays were originally created in hopes of inspiring a "peaceful" refuge to nurse that Saturday night-induced hangover, what it really does is keep the party going into the hot summer afternoon. Rehab Sundays begin at 10am through October, and include live DJ entertainment (and the occasional big-name guest DJ, including Wyclef Jean on June 24), cold beers and some of the best bikini bodies this side of the Strip.

That being said, a party this good doesn't come without a steep cover charge - generally $30 for ladies and $50 for guys. The party usually fizzles out around 6pm so, if you decide to ante up the cash for this one, we recommend coming early and staying late to get your money worth. (For a more "relaxed vibe", check out Relax Mondays from 12pm- 8pm where the cover charge is a far more affordable $Free.99)

Wet Republic at the MGM Grand

Perhaps the biggest pool party in Las Vegas in terms of pure square footage and high-profile guest appearances, Wet Republic at the MGM Grand has been a summer staple for a number of seasons, now. You can avoid the usually long line by buying your tickets to this Vegas pool party in advance online - again, $50 for guys, $30 for girls on Saturday - though Saturday is the only day available for pre-order. That being said, Wet republic is open Thursday- Monday beginning at 11am and you can get on the guestlist here.

TAO Beach at The Venetian

TAO Las Vegas is one of the Vegas pool parties that attracts high-profile musicians to perform in front of the bikini-clad masses from the so-close-you-can-touch-it TAO Beach stage. The summer of 2012 is no exception, as TAO has introduced Maxim Fridays complete with model casting 11am- 5pm. (Believe it or not, admission to this Vegas pool party is actually cheaper; $10 for the ladies and $20 for gents.)

Saturdays bring the beats at Camp TAO Beach, which is their premiere Las Vegas summer pool party and often includes a high-profile host, a solid DJ and slightly more expensive admission tickets. ($20- $30.)

Ditch Fridays at the Palms

Start the weekend off the right way in Las Vegas by ditching work and hitting up this popular pool party at the Palms. From 12pm- 6pm each Friday, the Palms Place pool - highlighted by its spectacular Waterfall Bar and more than two acres of pool square footage - is transformed into one of the hottest parties on the other side of the Strip.

For the most part, Ditch Fridays stick to the DJ scene, and general admission tickets are once more $20 for ladies and $30 for men. (We can't catch a break, can we, fellas?) However, if there's one thing the Palms is known for, it's partying - have you seen The Real World? Alright, to be fair we missed that one too, but we heard it was pretty wild. ANYWAYS, find out what the fuss is all about at this can't-miss Vegas pool party at the Palms Casino Resort.

Bare Pool Lounge at the Mirage

Naturally, we had to include at least one Vegas topless pool on our list, and the Bare Pool Lounge has to be it. First off, it features a pretty impressive set-up, and looks more like a gigantic tank than an old-fashioned pool. Second, the atmosphere is slightly more settled and low-key than those pool parties in Vegas highlighted above; it's smaller, and is lined with daybeds, cabanas and chaise lounges. Yup - it's all pretty European if you ask us.

This one's cheaper for women - $10 daily - while guys have it particularly bad on the weekends, where the cover charge runs as high as $40. (Expect a $20 fee for admission on weekdays, guys. Oh, and please don't stare. You're making us look bad - and desperate.)

While the cover may run on the high side at several of these popular Vegas pool parties, several Las Vegas hotels - including the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and the Palms - are offering package deals that include a room PLUS the price of admission. Check them out for yourself on our Vegas coupons page, and don't forget the sunscreen this summer in Vegas.
