Looks like there will be plenty of things to do in Las Vegas this October. New restaurants will be opening, festivals will be held and zombies will invade the city (seriously). Travlrs who are unsure about an October Las Vegas vacation will want to continue reading to see all of the upcoming events this Fall.
The Las Vegas Zombie Run:
The 2013 Las Vegas Zombie run is a 5k race/walk where participants try to make it to the finish line without succumbing to the undead. Participants are given belts with flags (think flag football) and are challenged to make it to the finish line without losing all their flags to the zombies. Participants can either register to run (donation required) or volunteer to be zombies. All of the proceeds from the event will go to Generation Vegas, an area charity promoting community, leadership and education.
Golden Nuggets 4th Annual Beer Festival:
Cekebrate Oktoberfest in a big way at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas. The iconic casino is home to a two-day event celebrating all things beer. The festivities kick off on Friday, October 18, with the All American Craft Beer Tasting. Admission is $50 and there will be over 125 American craft beers to sample along with live music and snacks. The fun stretches into Saturday with the Oktoberfest Pool Party. Admission is free and the event features over 150 craft beers for sale along with music, bratwurst, pretzels and more!
The Life Is Beautiful Festival:
The first ever Life is Beautiful Festival is set to take over Downtown Las Vegas this October. The festival features an all-star musical lineup, tons of top-notch chefs and amazing works of art/live art performances. The festival will take place on October 26 and 27th, and a few of the artist slated to appear include: Zedd, Kings of Leon, Childish Gambino and the Killers.Two-day passes are being sold for $159.50 and VIP passes are going for $349.50. The festival gates open at noon and close at midnight each day.
Las Vegas BikeFest 2013:
Those who like to wear leather outside the bedroom will want to check out Las Vegas BikeFest 2013. The event runs from October 3-6 and takes place primarily in the Cashman Center. Several vendors will be on site and there will be perfromaces by Joe Nichols, Foghat and Blue Oyster Cult. Aside from vendors and concerts, expect poker tournaments, charity rides and even a Miss Las Vegas BikeFest competition! Admission is $15 per day or $35 for all three days with the ultimate party pass available online.
