Burger Bar - Great food, great price

I'll admit - I thought I had stumbled upon a hidden gem when I found the Burger Bar in Mandalay Bay. Great food at reasonable prices in a 4-star hotel? Holy crap!

However, as it turns out, I was late to the party and the word's been out on the Burger Bar for a while now. Oh well - either way it was delicious and I'd absolutely recommend it to burger enthusiasts in Vegas.

The Burger Bar has a classic diner feel to it without feeling tacky or like it's trying too hard. I grabbed a seat at the bar and was served almost immediately. Given that I'm kind of a cheapskate, I opted for about as standard a burger as they come. (Though I did add cheese - c'mon, now.) What I got was a medium-rare beauty that cost around $10 with some delicious sweet potato fries. The burger was on par - of not better - than the one I tried at the Burger Brasserie in the Paris Hotel, though I admit I liked the ambiance of the Brasserie a little better.

What I did like about the Burger Bar was how out of place it felt in Mandalay Place. Everything surrounding the Bar is pricey and upscale, and yet here's this comfortable little diner-style restaurant that's as unpretentious as it is tasty. Major points to the Burger Bar for bucking the Mandalay trend.

If you find yourself at Mandalay Bay with a craving for some good ole fashioned American grub, you absolutely will not go wrong at the Burger Bar in Las Vegas. Definitely give it a try if you're in the area.

    Burger Bar

We had heard great things about the Burger Bar and were told that it would be a perfect place to take the kids (12 and 13).

The set-up there is simple.  You have a choice of several kinds of meat from traditional beef to Kobe beef to Turkey etc.  You chose the type of bun you would like and it is served with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions.  There are several other options yet they are all ala carte.  A huuuuge variety of options from caramelized onions to foie gras. Some of the most unique burgers one could ever imagine.

Hands down, the best burgers in town.  Ohhhhh and don't forget to order their onion rings.  The are sinful!

No burger is complete without a float of course but if you are not into floats or shakes, they have a few other tasty treats to satisfy anyone's sweet tooth.

Burger Bar Las Vegas won't disappoint you!

Sometimes I just crave a big old cheeseburger loaded with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, pickles and extra mustard... This is exactly what I got at the Burger Bar in Mandalay Bay Hotel.  It is an incredibly popular place with every kind of burger you could ever imagine along with some wonderful sides, and a little trendy bar too.

The service is fabulous, the people are real, and the burgers will knock your sox off!  You can acutally smell the place before you can see it.  We had lunch there and later returned for early evening cocktails and snacks.  Trust me... you won't be disappointed!

    Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay

My intention was to stop into the Burger Bar for a quick bite to eat inbetween appts at the magic tradeshow, what actually happened was very different! I guess I wasn't expecting much and what I got was absolutely delicious! I loved the atmosphere with it's very classy decor.

I sat at the bar and ordered a "build your own burger", zucchini fries and a fat glass of red wine. It was perfect! The bartender was very attentive and kept me entertained. I ended up canceling my next appt, not rushing my meal and stayed to enjoy a second glass of wine!

  • Pick Your Pleasure: Diners are encouraged to build their dream burger with a massive selection of customizable options. Meat choices include Kobe beef, buffalo, salmon, turkey, vegetarian and even a vegan patty! From there, build out your creation with dozens of gourmet breads and toppings.
  • Micro Brews: A pairing as classic as milk and cookies, what's a burger without the perfect beer? Burger Bar shines with a finely-tuned selection of handcrafted micro brew spanning the country's best micro breweries.

Inside Knowledge: If executive chef Hubert Keller looks familiar, you may have seen him as a guest judge on Top Chef or on his PBS cooking show Secrets of a Chef.

We Recommend:

  • Rossini: One of Hubert's recommended burger creations, this masterpiece features sauteed foie gras and shaved truffles on a Kobe beef patty. The price tag is steep at $60, but if perfection is what you crave, than price is of no meaning.
