CityCenter Las Vegas Hotel - Condos - Casino

CityCenter, will stand on a 76 acre site located between the Bellagio and Monte Carlo hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. The Boardwalk hotel occupies part of the area right now. An expected opening in 2009, the plan has brought over 7,000 construction jobs and 12,000 permanent positions to the Las Vegas region. It is the largest employment opportunity in the whole history of Las Vegas.

Among the plans that are projected, a 4,000 room hotel and casino, three 400 room boutique hotels, 1,650 condominiums and 550,000 sq ft of dining, entertainment and retail space. In summing it all up, the Project City Center is the size of New York City’s SoHo district, Times Square and the Rockefeller Center all combined.

With all this in the making for Las Vegas, the Project City Center seems to have put and end to themed resort building and is opening up a new era in the history of the city. Las Vegas seems to be becoming a major urban center in the US. It is highly doubtful that there will be anyone else that will match the scheme of this massive plan, but president and CFO of the MGM Mirage, Jim Murren hopes that there are, Having an idea is one thing, making it actually happen is another.
