Summary
Features: Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville on the Las Vegas Strip outside of the Flamingo Hotel and Casino is a fun party themed restaurant serving an assortment of seafood, burgers and island style dishes.
Why We Dine: Named after Jimmy Buffet's hit song "Margaritaville", parrotheads will enjoy this three-story tribute to their favorite singer in a tropical Caribbean setting. This Buffet-polooza comes complete with palm trees, sail boat style booths, two large bars with a dance floor and a plane flying overhead.
- The Cover Band: Almost every night a very popular and talented cover band performs on stage creating the fun, upbeat atmosphere that Margaritaville is known for. Don't be afraid to get up and bust a move on the dance floor inbetween bites if one of your favorite tunes is played.
- The Margaritas: Margaritaville wouldn't be the same without the signiture margaritas that it's known for. Choose between nine delicious cocktails including the License to Chill and Off to See the Lizard.
Inside Knowledge: Don't forget to stop by the gift shop and pick up some classic Jimmy Buffett memorabilia on your way out.
We Recommend:
- Jimmy's Jammin Jambalaya: This cajun dish straight out of New Orleans is one of Jimmy Buffet's favorites. Enjoy this medley of shrimp, chicken, andouille sausage and cajun rice simmered in a spicy broth.
- The Fajitas: Margaritaville's signiture dish is marinated chicken breast, fajita steak or portabella mushrooms sauteed with peppers and onions, served with flour tortillas mixed cheeses, guacamole, sour cream and fire roasted tomato salsa.

Margaritaville - Wasting away, one $6 beer at a time
Ohhhh Margaritaville. Few restaurants on the Strip epitomize the tackiness of Las Vegas quite like this homage to Jimmy Buffett and his endless supply of Hawaiian shirts.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
In fact, I've actually been to Margarita twice, though this was my first appearance since they renovated the restaurant and built a casino attached to the Flamingo, so it was an altogether different experience.
You know how the old saying goes that you don't go to Hooters for the wings? Well, you don't go to Margaritaville for the, um, oysters. Basically, people go to Margaritaville for the hokey paradise theme, the constant Jimmy Buffett soundtrack and the overall laid-back theme and decor.
I'll be honest - it's tough to be stressed out in Margaritaville. The bartenders are friendly. The music always appears to be at a decent level. The beer's always cold. And the clientele is always wearing khakis. (OK, everything but that last thing is probably true.)
And you know what? The food's not half-bad either. I stopped in after waiting in line at the discount ticket booth around the corner for nearly 40 minutes. Jonesin' for something Pacific-tasting, I walked in and ordered a cold Budweiser and a bowl of their crab meat and corn chowder, which was kind of a dangerous choice given that I would be walking around all day long.
As it turned out, the chowder was meaty and delicious, and didn't leave me crippled with a stomach ache after. After kindly refusing a second-round from the bartender, I settled up for a cool $13 - not bad for a generous bowl of soup and a beer. I would recommend Margaritaville for breakfast or lunch, as this definitely seems like a prime day-drinking kind of joint.
Just don't get stuck in "Paradise" for too long... unless you've brought along your khakis, of course.
