Sure, Vegas is alive and kicking every night of the year, but when it comes to New Years Eve in Las Vegas, the atmosphere in the streets is at its most festive.That is if you consider drinking and partying festive, which is pretty much the rule when you are in Vegas.You will want to begin planning your New Years Las Vegas itinerary as soon as possible, as not only can you save money by booking early, but you will also be likely to better secure your place at your casino, bar or restaurant of choice.Plans are always good, but due to the craziness that is Las Vegas in general, it’s understandable if you happen to stray from those plans. The concert with Brother Love on the Brooklyn Bridge at the NY/NY Hotel was awesome! Loved the dancers and the rock n roll. Didn’t sleep until about 8am or so the next morning. Hanging with friends and drinking and rocking out. Brother Love rocks! OWWWW!
I am also at the Luxor from the 28th. Never done Vegas for new year but just booked today. Any tips???
Luxor is a great hotel and for the price you cannot beat it. It is at the far end of the strip so I suggest you check out the hotels on that side of the strip while you are there. If you want to save your self some walking I would suggest using the monorail that takes you from Luxor to Mandalay Bay and to the Excalibur. Also I prefer the Mandalay Bay casino over Luxor’s so thats worth checking out early on if your going to be gambling.

How would you compare Mirage vs Caesars for New Year 2009?
I would like to go to las vegas for this new year eve 2008-2009…i am not really sure if i would like to be in a party, I might prefer to be walking on the streets …watching at the Belagio fountains and the firework all over…is that possible?…And can I go to the casinos just as always or do they ask to pay something to get in on this day?
