    Okada

This modern Japanese restaurant is very attractively designed and elegant.  We dined in the dining room area instead of the bar because it was much more intimate.  The service was very accommodating.  The food was absolutely superb and fresh- check out the delicious salmon sashimi and the lobster roll.  For the quality of the food, the service, and the ambiance, what you get wasn't pricey.

    Tranquil and Elegant Dining

Much like steakhouses, Las Vegas has a plethora of restaurants to chose from for sushi.  I have been to Nobu several times in Malibu so I thought I would try something different here in Vegas.  After much consideration, I chose Okada at the Wynn Resort.  It is a beautiful restaurant with waterfalls and lush Japanese gardens.  I was alone and sat at the sushi bar as I always do.  I started out with chilled Sake, a mushroom salad, miso black cod, and I just had to try the OKADA ROLL...EXCELLENT CHOICE!

No room for dessert yet I was totally satisfied.  I was disappointed to find out that they are not open for lunch.  I would have liked to have grabbed a quick roll or two before I headed back to the airport.

    Re: Okada

We were staying at the Venetian and decided to mix it up a bit and go next door to the Wynn and try Okada.  Great sushi but we found the ambiance a bit lacking.  Definitely quieter than expected though maybe we were just all fired up and anxious to go see The Phantom!  Great view of the waterfalls when you sit in the traditional side of the restaurant.  Service was slower than expected; luckily we allowed plenty of time before the show started so it wasn't a huge issue for us.

All 8 of us in our group agreed that the staff was friendly and the food was very well prepared but not enough to justify the high prices that they charged, But then again, this is VEGAS, BABY!

If you come to Las Vegas to be pampered, the Wynn Las Vegas leaves no detail overlooked. With more five-star awards than any other Las Vegas resort, the Wynn has established itself as the pinnacle of sophistication and class on the Strip. The guest rooms are the perfect example: plush bedding, floor-to-ceiling windows, flat screen televisions and sitting areas set the tone for an amazing stay.

The award winning roster of fine dining establishments is unparalleled in the city and features Michelin star awarded restaurants Alex, Wing Lei and Daniel Boulud. After dinner, a high rollers casino and upscale nightlife awaits. For daytime pursuits, visit the 18-hole golf course located in close proximity to the Strip or spend a day soaking up the rays by the sparkling pools.
