Was there a cover charge?
Good for the kids
The Excalibur, to me is a little dated but I got a great deal to go to Vegas and took it. On one of the days I was bored and decided to go to the pool and cool off, I rode the water slide, my inner kid popped out and for the most part it was pretty good. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone with a family. There were alot of kids playing in the pool the day I chose to go down it was around 95 degrees. There are 3 pools in all with just about full sun on all of them, no reprieve from the sun here but a pretty good time in the water.

Good hotel for kids
We spent a fair amount of time at the pool. There were 4 pools. One was not in use (although full of water). Another was 18 and over only. Plenty of lounge chairs and life guards. One pool had slides going into it . There was food available at a small restaurant and bar with outdoor and indoor seating near the pool. There was also a waitress taking drink orders around the pool but this service was VERY slow
