The lion habitat is definitely one of those cool free things to see on the strip though the lions are generally lazing around and not doing anything exciting. The lions are exercised daily and treated like kings. The trainers are friendly and love the cats and the crowds. So if you want to see lions up close and personal and all for free, head to the lion habitat at the MGM.
A large multi leveled glass enclosure lets you really get up close and personal with these beautiful creatures, from young to full grown, male and female, you can view them playing and interacting with their trainers.
These guys are fun to see. Especially when they have the younger lions in and the keepers are in there playing with them, it’s a pretty entertaining freebie. It does get a bit crowded around, but the glass is nice and clear and you can see in and get great pictures.
