I GO TO PRIVE AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH. ON JANUARY 2ND, 2010, I DECIDED TO GO & DRESS NICER THAN I USUALLY DO, I LOOKED GREAT & PERFECT FOR THIS CLUB, WITHOUT LOOKING LIKE A FLOOZY. I USUALLY GO WITH SOME SORT OF VIP GROUP. THIS TIME PRIVE HAD THE AUDACITY TO DENY ANOTHER GIRL & MYSELF ENTRY. THE REASON BEING WE WERE FAT. I’M NOT SURE HOW SHE TOOK IT, BUT I WAS SHOCKED, BECAUSE I’M NOT THAT BIG, DONT GET ME WRONG I HAVE A LARGE CHEST & A BIG BEHIND, BUT IT NEVER STOPPED ME FROM GETTIN IN BEFORE. AS I WAS LEAVING, I SPOKE WITH MULTIPLE PEOPLE WHO SAID THEY WERE DENIED AS WELL. NOW, I’M AWARE OF THE DRESS CODE & SOME PEOPLE JUST DIDN’T MEET STANDARDS, BUT AS I’M TALKING TO MORE & MORE PEOPLE, EVEN SOME PEOPLE THAT LOOKED GREAT & WERE SMALL FRAMED THAT DIDN’T GET IN. I STARTED REALIZED EVERYONE I TALKED TO WAS HISPANIC OR BLACK. I’M NOT ASHAMED OF MY BODY, BUT IT SLIGHTLY FELT LIKE I WAS BEING MENTALLY ABUSED. SO NEVER AGAIN WILL I RETURN TO PRIVE ALONG WITH A HIGH NUMBER OF MY FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS, & ASSOCIATES. I HOPE THAT PLACE GETS CLOSED DOWN AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME FOR GOOD.
If your in Vegas one thing I recommend. Don’t ever step foot near Prive nightclub at planet hollywood. Unless you want your night to be ruined by the mishandling of Prive security employees. The physical assaults against customers continue at this place! $30 a person plus $500 a table only to have two of my girls b-days be ruined. An undercover cop claimed to be assaulted by the calmest ones of my friends. If that were so why were no charges filed against them. Instead two of my friends were choked & man handled to the door. The undercover proceeded to choke & it was all over. Security manager (Jeff Gross) of the night club was by far the most unprofessional in handling our complaint against the club. It is evident why this night club was shut down once already. Go to Pure, XS, or Tryst, they treat you like human beings there. Vegas being my hometown, I will never step foot at this night club ever again.
First off, Prive was wayyyyy expensive. We had booked tables for a group of 15 and we were held up at the door for almost an hour. They wanted to make it look super exclusive. When you spend over $2000, why would you be held up at the door? Once we arrived inside it wasn’t anything special, and it wasn’t packed. The club itself is HUGE, with lots of hot dancers but since so many people were left outside, the people who actually made it in weren’t all that. The DJ wasn’t all that either…he started off with really good songs then re-mixed them in the middle after you got movin. I don’t think we will be back…but there are so many other clubs in Vegas, I don’t think we’ll have a hard time finding a better one than Prive.
The club is large and designed well, and there are 2 rooms that play different music, even though it was packed, you still had room to breath, dance, and move around. That’s always a plus if you don’t want to shell out for bottle service.
