Visit Flamingo Las Vegas

Flamingo Reviews

Once owned by the infamous Bugsy Siegel, the Flamingo was one of the first grand resorts on the Strip. It still has one of the largest casinos, and unique attractions like an open wildlife habitat.

Average, awesome pool!

My 4-night stay at the Flamingo was a satisfactory experience. I have never visited Las Vegas before and I was looking forward to having a decent trip. The pool did not disappoint me, there was beautiful landscaping, lots of private, lagoon-like areas, and YES, a water slide. On the weekend, you really have to get out there by no later than 7:30 or 8. The little pool-side bar was awesome and the drinks were tasty. The furniture in my room was a little run-down, but the room itself was very clean. Many rooms even have a direct view of the Bellagio's water fountains. The hotel lobby was crowded and loud, thats to be expected in Vegas I guess. Not too bad.

Good Location, decent price

Arrived at the Flamingo at 2pm. Our rooms were not ready but we were aware that check-in was not until 4pm. We stayed in a deluxe room. Our room overlooked the Gardens, a plus for sure! The pool was definitely a plus - that's one of the main reasons along with the great location why we opted for the Flamingo. There are 2 pools - 1 of which is European Style (topless bathing permitted). This pool costs $10 for men and free for women - worth paying for as it had nicer loungers & ambiance. Service was ok...friendly staff, good check in, check out.

Beautiful pool

At check in, we asked for one of the newly remodeled rooms and were given one at no charge. It was a beautiful, large room overlooking the pool. The pool area was beautiful! It felt like being in a tropical resort with waterfalls and palm trees. Great location right in the middle of the strip.

Not bad, not great

The Flamingo is a nice hotel and the service is really good too, the only thing we really found wrong was they just need to do some updates to the rooms, the restaurants were good, the location is really good too, they just need to get up to date with their decor and room furnishings.

Flamingo Las Vegas Review

We booked the Flamingo Las Vegas kind of last minute but it turned out to be a nice choice.  We have stayed at other hotels before but got such a deal that we couldn't refuse. (Our room rate included a buffet)  This hotel is located mid-strip with access to everything that you could ever want.

The room was clean, a tad worn in places but the king bed was a winner.  Elevators were fast, even up to the top floors.  The casino is well lit and we even had a winning streak.  What more could we ask for???!!!****

The pool rocked with a DJ and a really cool crowd.  There is a really nice garden area that is a great place to sit back and relax.  The staff in the hotel was friendly and kids were at a minimum.  The only drawback that I can think of was that there was no refrigerator in our room. Other than that, no complaints with "Bugsy's Place"!!

The Flamingo Hotel & Casino - Go Room

Number 1 tip for an enjoyable stay at The Flamingo: Upgrade to a Go room!  For about $30/night, you absolutely won't regret the decision.  A friend stayed in a basic room which was worn, dated, and just felt dirty.  THe Go room bed was far more comfortable and we really enjoyed the contemporary bathroom and the wall mounted flat screen.  Service at THe Flamingo was generally friendly and efficient, thought not up to the standards of many of the newer hotels.  Housekeeping kept the room up nicely on a daily basis.

We ate at several restaurants in the hotel.  Margaritaville was fun,had good service and decent food.  Burger Joint had mediocre food and kind of weak service.  The buffet lacked everything!

We have stayed in several of the strip hotels and while the Flamingo doesn't rank tops, we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again as long as we were in a Go room.

Flamingo Hotel las Vegas - Trip with the Bros

The Flamingo is a "no frills" hotel that is inexpensive and is in an excellent location in the heart of the strip.  The rooms are old but clean.  The restaurants are pretty good and the grounds are nice.  If you are trying to impress your date than the Flamingo is not for you.  Howwever, if youd on't plan on spending too much time in the room then I highly recommend The Flamingo Las Vegas

Tennis at the Flamingo!

The Flamingo has history....even though this Flamingo isn't the original Bugsy Siegel's hotel, it still has the name and makes you feel like you are taking part of vintage Vegas. I went to Vegas to meet some old friends from the east coast to play slots, play tennis, drink, eat, and be merry! The gardens were gorgeous and lush. The penguins, flamingos, ducks and fish were fun to watch as we walked around the property. So glad we picked this reasonably priced hotel. It wasn't the most luxurious hotel I've stayed in, but it was fun and the location can't be beat.
