Pros: Decent rates
Cons: Updates are needed, desperately service could be more professional

This hotel was built in 1955 and it doesn't look like they have done any updates since then, the rooms are not that great and are in need of a big face lift, the staff was kinda rude also, which didn't go over well with my wife at all. The casino was nothing to talk about and the food was just average. If your looking for a romantic get-a-way, this isn't the place for it, noisy also, needless to say we won't be going back to the Riv anytime soon.

Pros: has most of the amenities-especially lots of pretty good shows.
Cons: only close neighbor is circus circus- but this will change dramatically in a few years

this is a good "value" resort. it's old but big and well kept.it has plenty of shows, plenty of decent restaurants from a fast food court to higher-end places.the casino is uncrowded. it is currently isolated on the northern fringe of the strip so you wanderers need a car or enjoy walking or using the bus.at least the property is not set back from l.v.blvd. so you are only a few steps from the sidewalk.a plus for catholics is a short walk to the cathedral.
