Features: The South Point Hotel and Casino is a 60-acre property located 15 minutes south of the main section of the Strip. Featuring Mediterranean and Pacific Coast-style architecture, the South Point offers an 80,000-square-foot casino with 60 live-action tables, a bowling alley, a movie theater, convention hall and an arcade.
Why We Stay: This 25-story hotel is an excellent place for accommodations off the beaten path while still providing all the amenities of the Strip hotels. We love the South Point's Southern California-style ambiance and their wide array of eating and entertainment options.
- The Rooms: The guest rooms at South Point are spacious with the smallest running at over 500-square-feet. They're also affordable, which is perfect for families on a budget.

- Do Catch a Flick: The South Point houses a 16-screen movie theater that shows all the latest films including ones in 3D.
- Don't Spend Money on Cabs: A taxi ride to the Strip costs about $25 each way. If you plan on going back and worth to the Strip a lot, take advantage of the South Point's free shuttle.
- Don't Miss the Horses: Believe it or not, randomly, South Point has the first world-class Equestrian Center in Las Vegas. Horses and their owners from all over the country travel to this 4,400-seat seat arena which features 1,200 climate-controlled horse stalls.
