Features: Terrible's Hotel and Casino can be found about a mile east of the Las Vegas Strip, very near the UNLV campus. You will find the rooms at Terrible's more spacious than the average hotel room, with an eye on comfort the vanities are outside of the bathrooms, and all rooms can come with your choice of a King or two Queen beds.
The casino floor at Terrible's is two-floors and has all of the popular table games and slots, as well as a large bingo parlor and race and sports book, making it a great location for any kind of gaming. For other entertainment options, Terrible's has a beautiful pool and jacuzzi, and live bands play in the Casino lounge most nights of the week.
Why We Stay: A stay at Terrible's is going to be more affordable than booking a room at one of the more popular hotels on the Strip, but the casino and hotel will still offer you access to entertainment Vegas style.
- Free Airport Shuttle: Just call Terrible's when you land at McCarran Airport, and they'll send over a free shuttle to pick you up and drop you off.
- "Local's Casino": Terrible's is known as a local's spot. Not exactly sure what this entails, but if it means ridiculously cheap rooms and buffets the n bring on the local action.
- Themed Buffets: A stroke of genius on the buffet scene, a nightly themed spread (including Mexican Fiesta and Texas Roast) of over 200 items and starting at $9.99!
Inside Knowledge: Terrible's is about a mile out from all the action on the Strip. Outdoorsy-types might enjoy the trek under the blazing desert sun, but for the rest of us plan on taking taxis to reach the Las Vegas mayhem.
Do's and Don'ts:
- Do Play Bingo: Grab your bingo stamp and a seat in their 195-seat bingo palace. They offer six sessions daily and the jackpot can reach $100,000!
- Do Explore Local Fare: While the casino may be off the Strip, it is located nearby some choice dining options. Within walking distance you'll find a P.F. Chang's, Bucca di Beppo, and Morton's Steak House.
