Stratosphere Las Vegas

Rides in Las Vegas
Rides in Las Vegas
It seems like every other hotel on the Strip features a ride or roller coaster of some sort, however they're not all worth the typical high price tag. So here are a few of our favorites where you'll definitely be getting your moneys worth.
- Insanity: Some people may think you were crazy for even thinking about a ride on the Stratosphere's Insanity, but we think you're probably a good time for being daring enough to try it. Riders literally spin around looking down off the top of the highest building west of the Mississippi. Those with acrophobia, stay away!
- New York New York Roller Coaster: This rip-roaring ride around the Manhattan skyline will knock your socks off. It comes with a high price tag, $14, but it's worth every penny. It's a long roller coaster, which features several high drops and scary upside down loops.
- Sahara Roller Coaster: Not only is the roller coaster at Sahara Las Vegas fun, but it's fast. This exhilarating thrill ride has as many twists and turns as your stomach can handle going at speeds of 70 mph in only four seconds.
Las Vegas Museums
Las Vegas Museums
Slot machines and cocktails tend to keep travelers occupied in Sin City, but that’s definitely not all this city has to offer. Las Vegas plays host to a few of the most fascinating museums in the country. During your vacation, be sure to check out some of our favorites.
- Bodies the Exhibit: Located at the Luxor, this one-of-a-kind exhibit showcases over 200 real human bodies in rest and in motion. Those on display are Chinese prisoners who agreed to donate their bodies to science when they passed.
- Titanic Artifact Exhibition: Americans have been fascinated by the story of this “unsinkable” ship. The Luxor’s critically acclaimed exhibit allows visitors the opportunity to view over 300 actual pieces of the Titanic recovered from the wreckage.
- Neon Museum: Las Vegas is known for the lights that illuminate it so well. The neon museum houses the first bright signs that began this classic Sin City tradition.
Las Vegas for Kids
Las Vegas for Kids
Las Vegas is known as an adult playground, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing for your kids to do. Children of all ages can appreciate a multitude of family-friendly attractions that Las Vegas has to offer. If your looking to entertain kids without sacrificing a good time, check out some of our favorite Las Vegas tours.
- Shark Reef: Although Vegas is miles away from the nearest ocean, it’s actually one of the best places to view rare sea creatures up close. Mandalay Bay’s 1.6 million gallon Shark Reef is the only predator based aquarium in North America. It houses more than 2,000 animals including sharks, sawfish, giant rays, piranhas and rare golden crocodiles.
- Adventuredome: Perfect for adults and kids alike, the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino houses one of the only theme parks in Las Vegas - and it’s a blast! Adventuredome features over 25 different rides including the only hair-raising indoor double loop, double corkscrew roller coaster in the world.
