Tony and Tina's Wedding Las Vegas Information

Show Quick Facts

  • After the ceremonies, everyone moves to the reception, where a wedding singer and DJ encourage the worst of stereotypical weddings, the chicken dance and, of course, the YMCA.
  • Throughout the show an overzealous wedding photographer buzzes about snapping photos of the guests and the wedding party. After the show you can purchase photos of yourself with Tony, Tina and their family.
  • The original Tony and Tina's Wedding show was first staged in New York in 1988. Since then it has been performed in over 100 cities worldwide, from Vegas to Tokyo.

Pretty Good Time

We attended Tony & Tina's Wedding as a group of 5 friends and we all enjoyed it. The cast was very good, the band was awesome and if you didn't know better you would assume you were attending a wedding of a co-worker or friend whose family you had never met until this dysfunctional wedding experience. The cast interacts with everyone, and they move around the hall sitting at most of the tables at different times. They pull people on the floor, and when the dance floor opened up you would assume the bride and the female guests dancing had known each other for 20 years. All in all it was a pretty good show!

Tony & Tina's Wedding at the Rio is a nightmare!

Tony & Tina's Wedding at the Rio is a nightmare! We were in Las Vegas from 8-8-04 until 8-12-04, we stayed at the Tropicana and it was fantastic. I have wanted to see Tony & Tina's wedding from the time we started planning this trip which was a celebration of our 15th anniversary. $150. is a lot of money for us but it was a special occasion, and I really wanted to see this production, so that's what we spent for the tickets to this show. The cast spent more time entertaining one another than they did the guest, there was one or two tables that received allot of attention, but most of us was basically ignored. When we were seated there was 2 pitchers of water on the table for about 10 people, I which I'd realized that that would be the only beverage offered throughout the entire dinner and show, we never even were asked if we would like more water that was it, 2 pitchers of water for 10 people period! There was nothing funny about the show most of the time you couldn't even tell what if anything was going on. The meal consisted of wilted lettuce salad with some sort of oily dressing, day old dry broken up Italian bread that was not edible it was so hard, Lasagna that I never saw any meat in, meatless spagetti smothered in garlic to the point it was bitter and the sauce that was on the noodles had soaked into the noodles causing a very dry effect like it had been reheated several times, some type of chicken breast that was the only edible thing in the whole meal if you don't mind cold baked chicken. Everything was so dry and garlicy that my husband nearly chocked without anything to drink so he went to the bar to get a beer which they charged him over $4.00 for, I tried to drink the champagne that a very rude server had passed around elbowing me in the back to get my attention, but it was in a dirty glass, so we got up and left. We spent a very much wasted and expensive hour and a half of our trip on this horrible show, if it got better in the last half hour it wouldn't have begun to make up for the first hour and a half, and the wedding cake was most likely no better than the rest of the garbage they served us.

One of the best shows I've ever seen!

I had heard that Tony n' Tina's Wedding, the original from New York City, has been in Vegas at the Rio hotel for years. My wife and I went to see the show and thought it was probably the best show I've ever seen! We loved it. The food was great, the cast was great and truly the most unique interactive show. I had never been to a show where the audience participates...and this supposedly has been called the "Mother of all interactive Shows" I would HIGHLY recommend this show at the Rio to everybody I know. It is so much for to see....I look forward to coming back to Vegas next month and seeing it again. I can't think of a more enjoyable way to spend the evening.

AND, it is a dinner show! We had VIP seats (relatively low cost of $140 for VIP seats, dinner, unlimited champagne, seats upfront, and we got a VIP bag full of gifts)....this is a great value. I can't think of any other Vegas show that can deliver a dinner with show and get us out by 9pm to enjoy the city!.

A MUST RECOMMEND.

Hilarity ensues

I was amazed at how much fun this show is.I had heard good things about it in the past, but my they exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed by the cast who stayed in character and had their backgrounds down pat. I danced with the groom and my husband shared a moment with the pregnant bridesmaid! The entire experience is very clever and very entertaining. The food is ok, but the wedding cake was really yummy!! As soon as we walked into the showroom we were welcomed by the "catering manager" and we were escorted to our table. Our table mates had seen the show several times and told us that they come back every year as a family tradition. I can see why! Who wouldn't want to toast the bride and groom, catch a bouquet and watch a priest get drunk all in a matter of 2 hours?? Loved this show and can't wait to go back!! Highly recommend it for all!

SO much fun! I danced all night long

I haven't had this much fun at a show in a long time. Not your typical Vegas show. Interactive, you never know who is part of the show and who is the audience. So much fun and absolutely hysterical. The show happens everywhere around you and there's so much to see. I've been to it a few times and there's no bad seats. Its a different show every time. Highly recommend!

The Bally's Las Vegas embodies the spirit of Las Vegas with an impressive array of dining and entertainment to make your stay unforgettable. When it comes to classic Vegas entertainment, Jubilee! is the last classic showgirl revue left in the City of Sin. That other Las Vegas staple, the buffet, reaches new levels of decadence at Bally's Buffet of Buffets.

The casino features exciting gaming and slot play -- including the legendary $1,000 slots if you're feeling REALLY lucky. For nearly three decades, Bally's has been a hub of entertainment and activity in the heart of the Strip.

Summary

Features: Tony and Tina's Wedding is a blend of just about every bad wedding that has ever taken place. And the audience isn't expected to sit idly by, characters might be seated at your table, spreading hushed rumors about the groom or getting a little too drunk. So sit back or hit the dance floor, and be sure to enjoy the show.

Why We Go: Located at the V Theater in the Miracle Mile Shops adjacent to Planet Hollywood, Tony and Tina's Wedding is some of the best fun you can have on the Strip.

  • Vegas Action: Unlike most of the huge productions or variety style "talent-shows" on the Strip, this wedding gets audience members up and moving, in the thick experience of Vegas nuptials and lets guest participate and drive the action.
  • Get Perspective: Just like a newly married couple that realizes they've made a huge mistake, you can find a new look on an old friend with every show. Sit at a different table, mingle with new family members. Each engagement is fresh.

Inside Knowledge: One of the biggest complaints, if reviewers have any, is that the food is, well, bad. We like to think of it as a part of the experience. If you've ever been to a really terrible wedding you've probably suffered through some awful food, and this is trying to recreate that experience in the funnest way. So don't expect fine dining, expect a riotously bad wedding.

Do's and Don'ts:

  • Do Meet the Family: The cast isn't confined -- they'll be mingling. Go say hello, because Tony and Tina's Wedding is about experience, and the cast can give you one hell of a show.
  • Don't Be Shy: While the actors are running around chatting up guests, you can play along. Grab Tina's best friend and confide your love affair with Tony. May as well spice up the show.
