Features: The Westin Casuarina Hotel is just one block from the Las Vegas Strip. It's removed enough from the action of the Strip to be a quiet and independent entity, but close enough to offer easy access to all of the best attractions in Vegas.
The spa and other amenities at the Westin Vegas provide plenty of opportunities for revitalization after a long night out in Vegas, while the 826 rooms at the Westin offer the same peace, quiet, and comfort that is behind the "idee fixe" of the hotel. Heavenly beds can come in the form of one King or two Doubles, and are as comfortable as pillows.
Why We Stay: While we're fans of luxury and exclusivity, we also like a hotel that caters to our needs. Sometimes the hotels on the Strip drive luxury trends rather than respond to needs. At the Westin Casuarina, we are taken care of.
- The Hibiscus Spa: A respite in a city that demands action, we found the Hibiscus Island Paradise treatment washed us away to a better place, full of papaya-pineapple body scrubs and coconut-milk massages.
- Suede, the Restaurant: The casually chic and suede-splashed dining room are almost as attractive as the menu, with delicious seared Ahi tuna, 22-ounce cowboy rib-eye steaks, lobster sandwiches and much more.
- Non-smoking Public Areas: While many hotels are starting to limit the areas where smoking is allowed, the Westin was a step ahead and the hotel isn't stained by years of smoke. However, their casino and bar do allow smoking.
Inside Knowledge: Pets allowed in a luxury hotel? With the Westin's Love that Dog program, your furry friend will get a fluffy dog bed, water and food bowls, as well as temporary dog tags with the hotel's contact info. Pets cannot be more than 40 pounds and there is $150 deposit. It's an extra $35 a night for your pet to stay, so it's not all good news.
Do's and Don'ts:
- Do Use Service Express: It's Westin Casuarina's way of making things just a little simpler for it's guests. Need laundry, the front desk, room service? Just pick up the phone and make your demands.
- Do Have a Meeting: The Westin is great for business meetings, and with the hotel's One Call program, you can kick back and let their talented business coordination staff plan everything for you.
- Don't Bring your pet allergies: There are plenty of pets in this hotel, so be sure to let the staff know if you have allergies so they can set you up in a room far from the furry fiends.
- Don't Miss Unwind: An event meant to transition day to night, head into Suede Lounge from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to grab some hor d'oeuvres along with a great selections of beer and wines.

First off, it's not directly on the strip, but rather around the corner from the strip, They have these beds called "Heavenly Beds" and they are truly amazing, I could sleep on this bed forever and not wake up!! The rooms were pretty clean, check in was a breeze and the staff was friendly. The pool is tiny but was fully stocked with fresh towels, and the food at the restaurant was good too. Not bad for the price!
