Pinball Museum Las Vegas

With all the amazing attractions Vegas has to offer, there's no need to break the bank to have fun in Sin City. On a budget Vegas trip, simply explore the various free things to do in Las Vegas. One of the most interesting finds amongst free Las Vegas attractions is the Pinball Hall of Fame.

  • Largest Collection: The Pinball Museum Las Vegas is not only one of the most unique free things to do in Las Vegas, but it's a great family attraction looking for honest gaming in a city of gambling.  With the largest pinball collection in the entire world, the Pinball Hall of Fame allows adults to feel like kids again, playing machines from the 1950's-1990's, while kids can learn the art of pinball gaming.
  • Vintage Games: Besides pinball machines, the Pinball Museum also has various vintage arcade games such as Tetris and Super Mario Brothers. Though entry into the Pinball Museum is free, the old-fashioned games are coin-operated, so bring a pocket full of change if you want to play.
  • For Charity: The Pinball Museum is all about the love of gaming, so don't expect ticket prizes at this retro arcade.  Instead of winning prizes, enjoy the fact that all extra revenue goes to charity, from this not-for-profit museum.  Ditch the smokey casinos and take the family to the Pinball Hall of Fame for a fun-filled day of innocent gaming for a great cause.

Ethel M. Chocolate Factory

The Botanical Cactus Gardens and Ethel M. Chocolate Factory is amongst the sweetest free things to do in Las Vegas. Here are just a few wonderful reasons guests keep coming back to the factory:

  • Samples: The Ethel M. Chocolate Factory gives guests an inside look at how the chocolate is made, from conveyor belts and machinery to the mixing of recipes.  Workers are generous with samples along the way, so be sure to bring your sweet tooth.
  • Beautiful Scenery: Outside the factory is a gorgeous cactus-filled property with over 300 different kinds of plants. Guests can walk through the pretty pathways, burn off a few sample calories and call it even.
  • Holiday Spirit: A great time to visit the factory for a first, second or tenth time is during the holiday season.  The property is given a holiday make-over, full of Christmas lights, Santa and carolers.  The tasty chocolates also make great gifts.

Guests will no doubt enjoy the tasty goodness and scenic views at the Ethel M. Chocolate Factory, making it one of our top free things to do in Las Vegas.

Mermaid Aquarium Vegas

The Mermaid Aquarium at Silverton Hotel Las Vegas is one of the fantastic and whimsical free things to do in Las Vegas. Located in the Mermaid Lounge and Restaurant, this 117,000 gallon aquarium tank is full of over 4,000 tropical fish, sharks, rays, and at certain times, mermaids.

  • Mermaid Shows: Girls dressed in sparkly, vibrant mermaid costumes dance, swim and interact with guests from inside the tank, amongst the sea life.  Shows are every 30 minutes Thursday-Sunday and are free to watch.
  • Shark Feedings: Besides the marvelous mermaid shows, three times per day guests can also watch shark feedings, by a trained marine biologist who dives into the tank and interacts with observers via communication mask. Learn about the ocean's predators as you watch them feast; one of the coolest free things to do in Las Vegas.
  • Tank-Side Dining: To further enjoy the sights of beautiful mermaids and fish, guests can opt to dine in the Mermaid Lounge as well.

The Mermaid Aquarium is by far a unique free attraction, placing it on our list of cool free things to do in Las Vegas.
