Las Vegas is clearly a thriving dining destination. There’s so much more than lousy buffets and overpriced steak houses these days. However, with so many options, it can be hard to know where to start. Luckily, there’s one Las Vegas tour that is a foodie’s dream come true. The Walking Gourmet is a guided food sampling tour of some of Las Vegas’ best restaurants and specialty eateries. USA Today Travel Host Kelley Ferro calls The Walking Gourmet, "The Best way to spend and afternoon in Vegas." Experience exotic cuisines, learn the history Sin City, and enjoy some of the most delicious creations on the Strip.
The Tour:
Walking Gourmet patrons travel with a friendly tour guide to each restaurant. Most tours last around 3 hours, the perfect addition to any Vegas itinerary. Contrary to the name, there isn't a whole lot of walking on this the tour. Tour goers meet at a designated location and walk together to each nearby dining destination. Patrons won’t be herded like cattle either. All tour groups have a maximum capacity of 20 people, so patrons get the full interactive experience and have the opportunity to connect with other travelers from all over the globe. The tour price is a great value because it includes all the food, drinks, taxes and gratuity at the participating restaurants. The Culinary Mystery Tour Las Vegas is all about the unexpected. The Culinary Mystery Tour is a truly exciting experience as patrons move to each new "secret" location. Patrons may be inside a formal dining room at one stop and a quaint bistro at the next. There are 4-5 stops on this tour and 12-18 tastings of cuisine and cocktails. Just like food, Vegas is all about variety.
