Features: The Gold Coast Hotel and Casino on Flamingo Avenue less than a mile from famous four corners of the Las Vegas Strip, is a family-friendly casino-city. With a ton of great restaurants right off the lobby (from a 24-hour T.G.I.Friday's to the upscale yet affordable Cortez Room) and a 720-seat Bingo room in the casino, the Gold Coast offers a lot of incentives for guests.
Additionally, their 711 rooms range from simple rooms to sweet suites and every room has amenities that will make every stay comfortable and luxurious.
Why We Stay: It's not the exclusively Vegas draws that pull us to the Gold Coast Hotel and Casino, it's the incredibly oversized average city attractions that make the Gold Coast stand out from it's nearby competitors:
- The Bowling Alley: The 24-hour, 70-lane bowling alley of the Gold Coast Hotel is one of the country's largest, and on Saturday's it hosts Cosmic Bowling: part bowling, part disco.
- The Arcade: On the second floor of the bowling center is one of the largest arcades in Vegas, jam-packed with the best modern video and interactive games.
- The Movie Theater: The nearby Orleans Hotel, a partner of the Gold Coast, houses an 18-screen theater -- one of the best spots in Vegas to catch a film, and there is a free shuttle running between the two casinos.
Inside Knowledge: The Port O' Call Buffet at the Gold Coast Casino gets mixed reviews, but for a $6 breakfast from 7:00 to 10:30 a.m. it is practically unbeatable. Do's and Don'ts:
- Do Avoid taxis: With a free shuttle that runs to the Orleans Hotel to the south and along the Vegas Strip, there is no need to catch a cab. Save the money for the tables.
- Do Upgrade your room: Everything is pretty cheap at the Gold Coast and with plenty of activities in the vicinity, you may be spending a lot of time in and out of your room. It's worth the price, go for the Premium Room or a suite.
- Don't Get too wild: The Gold Coast is one of those rare hotels like Downtown's El Cortez where the security is ever-present and visible. It's not that there are more of them, they just stand out, because of that, they are more obligated to quiet the party crowd.
- Don't Miss the dance hall: Hosting big-band swing, Dixieland Jazz and the occasional rockabilly show, the dance hall is a great place for a night out that doesn't involve hip-hop and scantily-clad drunks.

Gold Coast Las Vegas - Take a break from the Slots...BINGO at Gold Coast
So yea there are a ton of senior citizens but it a great way to spend an hour in Vegas. The mood is pretty intense so get there early and order at least two drinks to start. The games move very fast but the staff is super friendly and helpful. There are 8 daily sessions with up to 720 seats and complimentary beverages. Be sure to be Club Card holder to get a discount! Most people who have played will admit that’s a little addicting so watch out.

Best stay off of the strip! our banquet room was awesome and the hosts were excellent! room was large and very well lit, comfy beds, carpet rather stained though. excellent buffet and worth the price! Would choose to stay here again even though its not centrally located great party crowd for young and old!

AverageWe stayed two nights here. The bathroom had a separate sink area from the shower which I like and a big mirror in the room with good lighting for doing makeup. The food at the buffet was good but the wine they offer in the coupon book was not good. The price is right for breakfast and offers good choices. Good wait staff. Their gift shop is not much. Good shuttle service to/from strip. Easy to get around the casino to rooms. Not much play at the slots. We probably won't be back to this hotel as it was not that impressive but okay if you want to try it out once.

Good ValueGreat location. The room was a decent size, but the bathroom was very small. The sink was next to the closet area and then there was a separate room for the shower and toilet. It was hard to close the door while standing in the bathroom. The bed could be more comfortable. Staff were nice. They give you a coupon booklet when you check in so you get free slot play, free table play, free drinks, and free ice cream. Overall great experience and a very good value.
