Entertainment
- Titanic - The Exhibition
- Described as a floating palace, the incomparable Titanic was deemed "practically unsinkable" by the White Star Line and its builders. But on a calm April night in 1912, the massive luxury liner struck an iceberg and slowly sank into the North Atlantic. Although the "ship of dreams" met its demise nearly a century ago, the spirit of the Titanic and its passengers live on through "Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition." Of the 2,228 passengers on board; more than 1,500 of them died. The exhibit concludes with a memorial wall honoring all those who lost their lives that fateful night. The subject matter is somber, but "Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition" details an important chapter in maritime history that will leave a lasting impression.
- Xtreme Magic
- Magic, as Dirk Arthur explains at the beginning of his show, is an art form limited only by one's imagination. Throughout his performance, he encourages the audience to stretch their imagination, as he presents Xtreme Magic Starring Dirk Arthur, a show of exotic and no-so-exotic animals, helicopters and a Lamborghini and numerous sleight of hand tricks. Whether it's making a floating Lamborghini disappear or a helicopter reappear at the back of the showroom, Arthur proves he has come a long way since his days in "Jubilee!"
- Bodies - The Exhibition
- "Bodies...The Exhibition" has finally made its debut in Las Vegas. It's a spectacular journey into the human body, showcasing 21 whole-body specimens. The specimens are preserved using a method known as polymer preservation, in which all tissue and water is replaced with silicone rubber. Polymer preservation gives visitors the chance to view the beauty and complexity of the human body as they never have before. Visitors to "Bodies...The Exhibition" will experience a range of emotions throughout the exhibit, from fascination and discomfort to disbelief and amazement, but one thing is for sure, it's an exhibit that will leave a lasting impression.
- Folies Bergere
- "Folies Bergere" continues to reinvent itself, most recently with its new costumes, choreography and tribute to the woman of the 1940s. Dancers in rainbow-colored gowns with matching hats bring the women into the 20th century, back to the historic can-can era where the male waiters flip and the girls wow the crowd with their high kicks. Paying homage to the Tropicana's heritage and the 1940s and 1950s, the girls visit Club Tropicana where the cats are cool and the music is hoppin' as Latin beats and jitterbugs invigorate the crowd, preparing them for a tribute to the pin-ups.
- Comedy Stop
- With non-stop laughter on the bill, the Tropicana's Comedy Stop features some of the brightest new stars in the comedy arena. The Comedy Stop prides itself on featuring up-and-coming comics - Romas has opened for Jerry Seinfeld and Paula Poundstone, and Fatel is a frequent visitor to "The Late Show with David Letterman." Blaze was a regular on FOX's "The Newz" and appeared in the '95 season finale of "Friends." Be sure to catch these comedians if they're in town - popular performers tend to pop back into the club's rotation about four times a year. Sip your cocktail, relax, and enjoy an evening of hilarious comedy at the Las Vegas Tropicana's Comedy Stop! Today's finest stand-up comics (and some rising stars at the Tropicana Las Vegas) will keep you laughing throughout the show.
