Mirage Las Vegas Summary

Features: The all-inclusive environment at the Mirage Las Vegas Hotel provides one of the greatest escapes in the city. The spacious suites of the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas are perfect for large groups, with separate living and dining areas. Additionally, the 102-acre property is home to a sweeping pink-marble and limestone lobby with a 20,000 gallon, corral-reef aquarium, a welcoming forest of palms, and a world of dining selections to make it one of the most stunning hotels in Las Vegas.

Also, enjoy one of the biggest casino floors on the Las Vegas Strip, an erupting volcano and the amazing Beatles show in Las Vegas, LOVE by Cirque du Soleil. The Mirage Hotel Las Vegas also conveniently offers a tram to the neighboring Treasure Island.

Why We Stay: The Mirage Las Vegas is a southern-Pacific hotspot in the Mojave desert. We love the tropical ambiance and colorful decor that permeates throughout the hotel.

  • What a Lobby: The thick palm forest and stunning corral aquarium might inspire a little Jack Sheppard and John Locke role playing, but even more than that the lobby of the Las Vegas Mirage says 'Welcome to Paradise.'
  • Bare by the Vegas Pool: Adults-only swim time happens when the bar opens and one little nook of the Mirage pool in Las Vegas turns into a topless-friendly lounge in the sun with exclusive pitcher service and tantalizing refreshments.
  • Las Vegas Volcano: As one of the most famous tourist attractions in Las Vegas, the volcano at the Mirage is something the whole family can appreciate. Plus, the best part about it is that it's a free Las Vegas attraction!

Inside Knowledge: If you see LOVE, sitting closer isn't necessarily better. You should either sit in the first few rows, or spring for anything higher than row N. Rows "O" or "P" are the best. At some point in the show a "special effect" is pulled over the audience, and if you want to see the show above the "clouds" you don't want to have a white sheet covering your face.

Do's and Don'ts:

  • Do See The Beatles LOVE: We can't say it enough, and we can't see it enough. LOVE is one of the best shows in Las Vegas, an acrobatic masterpiece with gravity-defying performances and hilarious outtakes from the Beatles recordings.
  • Do Save Time for Shopping: The Mirage features a bevy of favorite shops in Las Vegas including The Watch Boutique, The Sugar Factory and the Beatles memorabilia store.
  • Don't Overlook the Las Vegas Rainforest: The front entrance of the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas may seem like an actual mirage. It features an unavoidable tropical rainforest with 60-foot palm trees and cascading waterfalls in the 100-foot-high dome.
  • Don't Miss the Volcano in Las Vegas: With smoke and fire blasted 100 feet into the air, anyone who loves a camp-fire, fireworks or just plain old pyrotechnics (everyone right?) will love this incredible display.

Mirage Las Vegas - love LOVE at Mirage

One of the best shows in Vegas is at the Mirage. If you love Cirque du Soleil and the Beatles you will love the LOVE show. Although there is no live music, the tunes are recognizable (it just makes you smile). The entire experience will remind you of all of the famous album covers (amidst acrobats and roller bladers). The ticket takers and ushers are dressed up like Sgt. Peppers. Although, I recommend sitting further back from the first four rows. You will be too close and miss some of the visual effects if you seat in the very front.

Also look into getting a pre-fix dinner and tickets for Kokomos and the Love show. Kokomos is rather expensive but when you buy the combo you will get to experience a great restaurant for a fraction of the menu’s regular prices. The food and service are fabulous and the atmosphere of the water garden is charming.

Mirage Las Vegas - Wonderful Stay

My wife and I had an excellent stay.  We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms on the 25th floor.  We were very tired when we first got in and took a nap.  Next thing we knew we woke up to the sound of the new volcano!  It was exciting and a perfect mood setter for a crazy night.  After all the craziness we came back and the jetted tube is good on the bones.  The bed was extremely comfortable and the decor of the room was outstanding.  I give the Mirage a perfect rating as always... love the place.

Bad service dirty rooms

Bad service dirty roomsWe arrived a little early for checkin only to be told it would be about 4 more hours ( we arrived about 1:30 also the front desk clerk acted as if she just did not want to be there once they tried to run our debit card for a crazy amount however we did prevail with a credit card. checked in at 5:15 was given a room that overlooked basically the roof top of nothing and the room smelled of smoke small bathroom etc. got transferred to another room this room even smelled worse but decided to keep it. sheets were washed but looked stained from rust or blood. Also reached into the pocket of a robe and pulled out bloody napkin wow..... was never told sorry and valet had a ball helping thereselves to some of our cheap souveneers when we parked. wow thought it would be a great week turned out to be the week from hell.

awsome experience

we just got back, we had a ball. hotel was excellent, rooms were very clean, we had an issue one night with someone not staying there begging for money inside by the shops. the hotel security was there in no time to escort the person out. the only dissapointment was lack of service from room staff ( two different days no clean towels ) other than that it was awsome. we are planning to come back next year and we are comming back to the mirage. check-out was so easy. oh yeh you have to try carnegies delicatessen . we herd some guest complaining about rooms but are you planning on staying in your rooms all day or enjoying your vacation. get out and enjoy.

overall we are comming back

Dissapointed with the room

Dissapointed with the roomThe Hotel is beautiful but I was a little disappointed with the room. The bathroom was very small and had poor lighting. We had a smoking room and there were cigarette burns on the bedspread and a hole in the top sheet, the drapes were hanging due to a lack of hooks. Those are really the only complaints I had, other than that the food was good at the restaurants, the pool wwas spectacular and the service was good also. I hope the next time we go...our room will be better than the one we had on this trip.

Tropical oasis in Las Vegas

The location of this hotel is great, it's close to everything, the pool is just spectacular and the service and staff are impeccable, the atmosphere makes you feel like you are on a tropical island and it is very clean too. Tons of choices to eat and shops galore, spa, fitness club, nice rooms, all in all it is an excellent hotel.

Bad experience, poor service, many better alternatives

Bad experience, poor service, many better alternativesRooms are nice and newly-redone. Clean. Food choices are all barely o.k. to barely acceptable. Service is really bad. BLT Burger -- hamburgers are ok, but the service here is really horrible. There are four girls at the front desk at all times, but they are all worthless and spend their time chatting while guests are kept waiting in line. The waiter messed up the order more than once. Tried to give this place two tries, but both times it was a bad experience. Samba Brazilian Steakhouse -- good value for the food, but the service was not good. Drinks were left empty, dirty dishes were left on table. Buffet -- decent food, service is o.k. Good value when it's cheap, otherwise it's not worth it (e.g., on weekends). Revolution Lounge - overpriced, not much happening. Jet Nightclub -- overcrowded and a mess. Always long, disorganized lines to get in. Pool -- o.k., but not great. What you'd expect at a mid-range hotel. Front desk staff are really bad, messed up reservation, didn't explain any details of hotel, given a smoking room (with non-smoking reservation), room key didn't work, bad attitude, no manager on duty during prime check-in (3 pm). Overall, I'll book elsewhere next time!

THE MIRAGE!

OMG!!! We had such a blast at the Mirage! In town for a hair convention and it turned out to be more of a pleasure trip than a business trip! The hotel was really easy to get around and everyone that worked there was tremendously helpful! Great price too!

The Mirage is still Great

Still one of my favorites. This was the first place I  stayed in 15 years ago on my first trip to Las Vegas. I still come here….I like coming through those front doors. I like the changes that have happened over the years to keep it current, yet it still holds that great vegas vibe. Check in is always a breeze. On this past trip, at the end of march, we were upgraded to a nicer room on the 24th floor with a great view of the strip. The bed was comfortable and the room had all the necessary amenities. On the casino floor, there were plenty of craps tables and the dealers were friendly and efficient. The Mirage was one of the first to do everything right in Vegas and it’s still doing great!

Mirage Hotel and Casino Review

It is conveniently located right on the strip close to all main attractions.  A newly renovated hotel with dolphin habitat, white tiger habitat, rain forest, erupting volcano, and many more.  Casino do a job in filtering smoke.  At check- in the staff were friendly and courteous, we even got upgraded room with a very nice view.  Room was nice and bed was very comfortable to sleep on.  The concierge was very helpful and housekeeping was excellent.  Highly recommend!

Mirage Resort and Casino

I am a simple single working girl that needs to blow off some steam occassionally! i can't do this if it's going to break the bank. that is why i love the mirage. it's in a great location on the strip, it's clean (it's like 20 years old, but was recently refurbished), the hotel staff are very friendly and the price is RIGHT!

i saved enough money for this trip to finally indulge myself in a show. i am huge beatles fan, so it was a bonus to see that show in the mirage. great show! i loved it!

Re: Mirage Resort and Casino

I am partial to the Mrage and it's tropical setting.  The entire wall behind the registration desk is an aquarium.  They have live trees, fountains and flowers in the lobby that makes you feel you are outside.  It is gorgeous!

The pool area has waterfalls that you are allowed to swim near, under, or behind.  The dolphin exhibit is also near the pool.  There is a fee for the tour but it is fabulous and the kids loved it too. Well worth the money.

Other things to see/do in the hotel: Sigfried & Roy Theater with 2 magicians nightly, The Mirage Volcano, The Tiger Habitat and the list goes on and on.

If you are into gambling, try Pai Gow Poker.  It is relatively easy to play and you won't find it at every casino but The Mirage Casino does have it.

There is also a great water and fountain show with colored lights outside of the hotel.  Don't miss it.

For Beatles fans or Cirque du Soleil fans, a ticket to The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil at the Mirage is guaranteed entertainment gold. All you need is LOVE, and this is so true as no other show on the Strip can compare in soundtrack, costuming or staging! The pyschidelic hits from the British mega-group set the tone for a fantastical journey through space and time.

The undeniable talent of Terry Fator shines during his laugh-a-minute show at the Mirage, Terry Fator and His Cast of Thousands. The cast of thousands are actually puppets, each with their own distinct story lines and personalities, which Fator brings to life with his amazing puppetry and ventriloquy skills.

Show goers might recognize Terry from his stint on America's Got Talent, where he took home the top prize.

No matter how old you are, a ticket to the Boyz II Men Las Vegas show at the Mirage is bound to let you make new memories or recapture your youth with the world famous Boyz II Men R&B love songs. Mirage Las Vegas Restaurants

Located at the Mirage Resort and Casino, Kokomo's serves steaks and seafood is an upscale and classy setting. After two decades of consistent quality, Kokomo's has become one of Las Vegas' signature eateries. We suggest starting out with the rich and steamy lobster bisque. Then for your entree, try the Surf and Turf with prime rib and crab legs.

The Mirage's gorgeous new restaurant STACK serves small portions packed with big flavor and designed for sharing. The off-the-wall menu features glamorous versions of American classics like pigs in a blanket and donut holes.

The interior is also one-of-a-kind with stacked wooden walls and ceilings and a casually chic dining room. Bring your appetites and a group of friends and soak up this unique space while sampling the inventive menu creations.

3

BLT Burger at the Mirage Hotel and Casino is not your typical burger joint. This place serves gourmet burgers with quick and easy service.

In a hurry but want a quality meal? BLT Burger is the place for you. We suggest pairing the lamb tandoori burger and sweet potato fries with a Malibu Barbie milkshake, which is appropriately spiked with Malibu Run.

The Mirage's succulent Japanese restaurant Japonais features a flavorful menu of nigiri, sushi and hot dishes like Japanese ribs and smoked kobe beef. The dining room is designed by famed interior designer and co-owner Jeffery Beers and stays true to the Mirage's lush design aesthetic.

Japonais offers a popular happy hour as well as an affordable dinner for two option that includes 4 selections from the menu.

Leave it to the Mirage to host such a cutting-edge, contemporary and colorful Brazilian themed barbeque. If you choose the all you can eat, "Rodizio" experience, the Steakhouse servers will hand you a chip painted green on one side and red on the other. Green signals the servers to, "Keep the meat coming," and red means, "Stop. I've had enough for now." The Rodizio experience includes a bottomless bowl of salad, bread, fried plaintains and a few other traditional Brazilian side dishes.

Onda Ristorante at The Mirage on the Las Vegas strip is half chic wine and cheese bar, and half inviting Italian restaurant.  Onda was voted, "Best Italian Restaurant in Las Vegas" by the Las Vegas Concierge Association and is a great choice for date night, dinner, appetizers or drinks before going to see "Love" at The Mirage.  Onda has an extensive wine list and the cuisine is traditional Italian with a contemporary, American twist.

B.B. King's Las Vegas Restaurant and Blues Club serves up traditional Southern cooking in a fun and lively environment with three bars and nightly live entertainment. Talented bands will play all your favorite soul and Motown hits. Come between 12pm and 6pm and enjoy half priced appetizers and half priced drinks.

This breakfast, lunch, and dinner restaurant offers the best soul food on the Strip. In fact, we recommend the Soul Sampler appetizer, which includes fried pickles, catfish nuggets, buffalo wings and savory BBQ ribs.

Take advantage of the champagne brunch at Cravings Las Vegas Buffet every Sunday from 8am - 3pm inside the Mirage Hotel. Sip on bottomless champagne while you load up your plate with fresh seafood, juicy steaks, and delectable desserts from eleven different cooking stations!

Fin Las Vegas is an upscale Chinese restaurant at the Mirage Hotel and Casino. Among the items on the menu are treats like sea bass and Mongolian beef, but there are plenty of other Chinese fixings to quench your appetite. A meal here will also quench your wallet though. While you usually eat Chinese because it's cheap, Fin has different intentions.

Visiting Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden at the Mirage? Why not grab a hot dog, a soda and some ice cream at the conveniently located Dolphin Snack Bar Vegas!

Mirage Las Vegas Nightlife

Located inside of the Mirage Resort on the Vegas Strip, Jet is the ideal nightclub for those looking to avoid the large crowds and excessive hype of neighboring clubs on the Strip. The clubs smaller size helps to facilitate an ambiance that's more casual and comfortable than ultra upscale and frenetic.

Jet features three separate rooms, three separate DJ's, and therefore, three different vibes created by the music that is being played. Guests who are tired of one room can move to another and dive right into a whole different experience.

1 OAK Las Vegas is the newest nightclub to open on the Strip. Making its grand inauguration on New Year's Eve 2012, 1 OAK at the Mirage has already garnered major reviews from party-goers, Hollywood celebrities and famous musical artists. Celebrities such as Pitbull, Adam Levine, Bruno Mars, Fergie and Josh Duhamel have already been spotted at the exclusive nightclub, just to name a few.

rhumbar Las Vegas is the perfect place to enjoy a delicious cocktail and nice day in the sun. The South Beach themed rhumbar at the Mirage Las Vegas offers a vast drink menu with 40 different rums and tons of tasty rum-based cocktails. Pick a cigar from their well stocked cigar humidor or smoke some hookah on the patio.

Enjoy the live house band at B.B. King's Blues Club Vegas. The great singers will keep you entertained throughout your entire meal. Order from their menu composed of traditional Southern food and grab a few drink at one of their four bars. Open everyday at 6:30am, guests can make reservations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Enjoy a night of strong drinks at King Ink Las Vegas Tattoo Studio and Bar. Want to spice up your night? King Ink at the Mirage hand-picks professional and skillful tattoo artists. Their detailed and flawless artwork never disappoints. Guests who opt out of any tattoo work can also choose a piercing. Piercings and tattoos are not required at King Ink Las Vegas.

Visit Rhumbar Las Vegas for delicious hand-crafted drinks, cigars, dancing, and live music. The laid back atmosphere is the perfect getaway from the busy Vegas Strip or a great pre-party spot before you head to those Vegas nightclubs. Rhumbar at the Mirage Vegas is great for lounging during the day and drinking in the early evening.

Guests can enjoy an expansive list of specialty wines and champagne at Onda Wine and Cheese Bar. You can choose to sample wines by the bottle, by the glass, or pick from the Syrah wine flight series. Feeling a little hungry at Onda Lounge Las Vegas? Order a few appetizers from their menu or head to the restaurant just past the wine bar.

Mirage Las Vegas Pools

3.4

The Pool at the Mirage is a tropical paradise that offers all of the relaxation one might find on an island getaway. The landscaping of the pool is truly marvelous, and a sight to behold—with cascading waterfalls, and sprawling grass areas—it's worth a trip to this pool for this reason alone.

But, of course, the pools are very nice too, and guests and their families are welcome to spend the day splashing under the waterfalls, enjoying poolside beverages, and all in all, seeing Vegas in a different light at the Mirage Pool.
