Mirage Resort and Casino Summary
Features: The Mirage Resort's all-inclusive environment provides one of the greatest Las Vegas escapes. The spacious suites of the Mirage Hotel and Casino are perfect for large groups, with separate living and dining areas. Additionally, the 102-acre property is home to a sweeping pink-marble and limestone lobby with a 20,000 gallon, corral-reef aquarium, a welcoming forest of palms, and a world of dining selections.
Also, enjoy one of the biggest casino floors on the Strip at the Mirage, an erupting volcano and the amazing Beatles tribute, The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil. The Mirage also has a tram to the neighboring Treasure Island and is right in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip.
Why We Stay: The Mirage really is a southern-Pacific hotspot in the desert of Las Vegas and for all the tropical kitsch thrown in the decoration of the luxury hotel, and we think it translates pretty well.
- What a Lobby: The thick palm forest and stunning corral aquarium might inspire a little Jack Sheppard and John Locke role playing, but even more than that the lobby says 'Welcome to Paradise.'
- Bare by the Pool: Adults-only swim time happens when the bar opens and one little nook of the tropical themed pool area turns into a topless-friendly lounge in the sun with exclusive pitcher service and tantalizing refreshments.
- Eruption Disruption: We hate to admit it because it's just so cheesy, but the Mirage Hotel Volcano is really fun. The only other erupting volcano in Vegas is at Margaritaville, and that one should be missed.
Inside Knowledge: If you see LOVE, sitting closer isn't necessarily better. You should either sit in the first few rows, or spring for anything higher than row N. Rows "O" or "P" are the best. At some point in the show a "special effect" is pulled over the audience, and if you want to see the show above the "clouds" you don't want to have a white sheet covering your face.
Do's and Don'ts:
- Do See The Beatles LOVE: We can't say it enough, and we can't see it enough. LOVE is one of the best shows in Las Vegas, an acrobatic masterpiece with gravity-defying performances and hilarious outtakes from the Beatles recordings.
- Do Check out the Volcano: With smoke and fire blasted 100 feet into the air, anyone who loves a camp-fire, fireworks or just plain old pyrotechnics (everyone right?) will love this kitschy display.
- Don't Eat at BLT Burger: Unless you are a burger connoisseur -- in which case DO go to BLT Burger -- you should save the $20 for something else, and if you really need beef, go to Samba Steakhouse.
- Don't Buy the large drinks at LOVE: OK, you have a show to sit through and the drinks sound delicious, $30 for a large (enormous) cup sounds good. But it's too much and almost impossible to finish.

Bad service dirty rooms
Bad service dirty roomsWe arrived a little early for checkin only to be told it would be about 4 more hours ( we arrived about 1:30 also the front desk clerk acted as if she just did not want to be there once they tried to run our debit card for a crazy amount however we did prevail with a credit card. checked in at 5:15 was given a room that overlooked basically the roof top of nothing and the room smelled of smoke small bathroom etc. got transferred to another room this room even smelled worse but decided to keep it. sheets were washed but looked stained from rust or blood. Also reached into the pocket of a robe and pulled out bloody napkin wow..... was never told sorry and valet had a ball helping thereselves to some of our cheap souveneers when we parked. wow thought it would be a great week turned out to be the week from hell.

awsome experience
we just got back, we had a ball. hotel was excellent, rooms were very clean, we had an issue one night with someone not staying there begging for money inside by the shops. the hotel security was there in no time to escort the person out. the only dissapointment was lack of service from room staff ( two different days no clean towels ) other than that it was awsome. we are planning to come back next year and we are comming back to the mirage. check-out was so easy. oh yeh you have to try carnegies delicatessen . we herd some guest complaining about rooms but are you planning on staying in your rooms all day or enjoying your vacation. get out and enjoy.
overall we are comming back

Dissapointed with the room
Dissapointed with the roomThe Hotel is beautiful but I was a little disappointed with the room. The bathroom was very small and had poor lighting. We had a smoking room and there were cigarette burns on the bedspread and a hole in the top sheet, the drapes were hanging due to a lack of hooks. Those are really the only complaints I had, other than that the food was good at the restaurants, the pool wwas spectacular and the service was good also. I hope the next time we go...our room will be better than the one we had on this trip.

Great pool, good rooms
My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the Mirage. This was our second trip to Vegas. Check in was easy, we asked for a new room and got it with no problem. The room was clean, the pool was one of the best in Vegas, the food was decent, check in/out went smooth, Overall, the Mirage was a great place to stay and we will definitely go back!

Tropical oasis in Las Vegas
The location of this hotel is great, it's close to everything, the pool is just spectacular and the service and staff are impeccable, the atmosphere makes you feel like you are on a tropical island and it is very clean too. Tons of choices to eat and shops galore, spa, fitness club, nice rooms, all in all it is an excellent hotel.

Bad experience, poor service, many better alternatives
Bad experience, poor service, many better alternativesRooms are nice and newly-redone. Clean. Food choices are all barely o.k. to barely acceptable. Service is really bad. BLT Burger -- hamburgers are ok, but the service here is really horrible. There are four girls at the front desk at all times, but they are all worthless and spend their time chatting while guests are kept waiting in line. The waiter messed up the order more than once. Tried to give this place two tries, but both times it was a bad experience. Samba Brazilian Steakhouse -- good value for the food, but the service was not good. Drinks were left empty, dirty dishes were left on table. Buffet -- decent food, service is o.k. Good value when it's cheap, otherwise it's not worth it (e.g., on weekends). Revolution Lounge - overpriced, not much happening. Jet Nightclub -- overcrowded and a mess. Always long, disorganized lines to get in. Pool -- o.k., but not great. What you'd expect at a mid-range hotel. Front desk staff are really bad, messed up reservation, didn't explain any details of hotel, given a smoking room (with non-smoking reservation), room key didn't work, bad attitude, no manager on duty during prime check-in (3 pm). Overall, I'll book elsewhere next time!

THE MIRAGE!
OMG!!! We had such a blast at the Mirage! In town for a hair convention and it turned out to be more of a pleasure trip than a business trip! The hotel was really easy to get around and everyone that worked there was tremendously helpful! Great price too!

The Mirage is still Great
Still one of my favorites. This was the first place I stayed in 15 years ago on my first trip to Las Vegas. I still come here….I like coming through those front doors. I like the changes that have happened over the years to keep it current, yet it still holds that great vegas vibe. Check in is always a breeze. On this past trip, at the end of march, we were upgraded to a nicer room on the 24th floor with a great view of the strip. The bed was comfortable and the room had all the necessary amenities. On the casino floor, there were plenty of craps tables and the dealers were friendly and efficient. The Mirage was one of the first to do everything right in Vegas and it’s still doing great!

Mirage Hotel and Casino Review
It is conveniently located right on the strip close to all main attractions. A newly renovated hotel with dolphin habitat, white tiger habitat, rain forest, erupting volcano, and many more. Casino do a job in filtering smoke. At check- in the staff were friendly and courteous, we even got upgraded room with a very nice view. Room was nice and bed was very comfortable to sleep on. The concierge was very helpful and housekeeping was excellent. Highly recommend!

Mirage Resort and Casino
I am a simple single working girl that needs to blow off some steam occassionally! i can't do this if it's going to break the bank. that is why i love the mirage. it's in a great location on the strip, it's clean (it's like 20 years old, but was recently refurbished), the hotel staff are very friendly and the price is RIGHT!
i saved enough money for this trip to finally indulge myself in a show. i am huge beatles fan, so it was a bonus to see that show in the mirage. great show! i loved it!

Re: Mirage Resort and Casino
I am partial to the Mrage and it's tropical setting. The entire wall behind the registration desk is an aquarium. They have live trees, fountains and flowers in the lobby that makes you feel you are outside. It is gorgeous!
The pool area has waterfalls that you are allowed to swim near, under, or behind. The dolphin exhibit is also near the pool. There is a fee for the tour but it is fabulous and the kids loved it too. Well worth the money.
Other things to see/do in the hotel: Sigfried & Roy Theater with 2 magicians nightly, The Mirage Volcano, The Tiger Habitat and the list goes on and on.
If you are into gambling, try Pai Gow Poker. It is relatively easy to play and you won't find it at every casino but The Mirage Casino does have it.
There is also a great water and fountain show with colored lights outside of the hotel. Don't miss it.
