Palms Las Vegas Summary

Features: The Palms Casino Resort Las Vegas is one of the hottest Vegas hotels. The 700 rooms, spreading over the 55 floors of the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas are exhaustingly diverse and every one is luxury at its finest, from the standard rooms that are seductively elegant to the elaborate Suites and Villas that house basketball courts and pools that were once filled with Playboy Bunnies. Only a mile away from the Strip, the Palms Casino Resort is so close to the rest of the Vegas action (there is plenty of action at the Palms as well) that you can get nearly anywhere in minutes.

Why We Stay: We could talk about the history of the hotel, the classic Vegas charm or the exquisite luxury suites. We could mention the fantastic food and hopping nightclubs, bumping elbows with celebs or the stunning pool, but come on, there is a giant playboy bunny on the side of the Palms Casino Resort.

  • The Playboy Club: With Skyline views, playboy bunnies and a cool lounge atmosphere, the Playboy Club is the perfect compliment to the wild Ghostbar on the 55th floor, or the Rain nightclub, where fireballs illuminate the dance floor and fountains swivel to the DJ's tune.
  • The Playboy Store: You can buy anything from Playboy bling to Playboy beauty products, as well as the hottest European fashions from swim wear to couture.
  • The Playboy Suite: Along with all the elaborate and crazy suites (one has a basketball court) in the Fantasy Tower, our favorite is Hugh Hefner's Villa -- it's got an infinity pool overlooking the Strip that has been filled with Playboy Bunnies.

Inside Knowledge: We're really tempted to plug the Palm reader sitting next to the elevator for Ghostbar (and there we've gone and done it), but the palms is about the party -- and a sexy party at that -- so you should know, it's the only (or at least the first) hotel in Las Vegas to have an in-house tattoo parlor. That's right ladies, time to get that playboy bunny you've always wanted on the small of your back.

Do's and Don'ts: Oh, there are just so many things we could go into here. If you're staying at the Palms Hotel Vegas, be sure you're there for the right reasons -- Playboy isn't the only thing at the hotel, but it is a theme.

  • Do Make the rounds: With such diverse clubs, there is no reason not to hit them all. Swing by the Playboy Club for an early drink -- head up to Ghostbar to ramp up the night, then let it all go late-night at Rain. The next night, repeat.
  • Do Spring for a suite: If you can afford one of the fantasy suites -- go for it. These are the craziest, most elaborate suites in Vegas and you may as well take advantage.
  • Don't Get a Playboy Bunny tattoo: Ok ladies, we were teasing above. Please don't get a tattoo of a Playboy Bunny on the small of your back. That goes for you too guys.
  • Don't Harass the celebs: The palms is known as a place where rock-stars and reality TV personalities cut loose with the riff-raff like us. They're people too, don't make a scene. You're in Vegas, so try to play it cool when Pauly D walks in with Holly Madison.

Beautiful Hotel!

This hotel is just great. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and had floor to ceiling windows overlooking the strip, what a beautiful site, especially at night. The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. The Spa was lovely, the pool area is very nice with the cabanas and a fire pit next to the Jacuzzi, we will be going back in the Winter for another great stay!

Worth checking out

Stayed 2 nights at Palms Place. The bed was amazing! Could have been the best bed I've ever slept in. The TV's were big and stunning. They had one of those clock radios that you could hook your ipod into - which worked out because I had brought mine to listen to on the plane so it had all my favorite music on it. It was about a 4 minute trip from our room to the Palms casino. The Palms casino was OK, but nothing spectacular. All of the employees were very polite and helpful. The only down fall was the pool, it was pretty small and tight. We went to Ghostbar, we were pleasantly surprised at the old crowd (30-50 year olds) on Tuesday and Wednesday night and the music was a good mix of danceable music. The $20 cover charge was waived for hotel guests.

Palms review

Palms reviewHousekeeping was awful. No "do not disturb signs" for any of the rooms. House keeping constantly ringing the door bell to make up the beds-very annoying. One day our room never got made up. Hotel more for 20-30yr olds. But definitely not for anyone on a honeymoon-if you get my drift!

Palms Las Vegas - Good price, nice stay

Good price, nice stayThe hotel was clean and the rooms were well worth the money with the flat screen TV's and floor to ceiling windows, the beds were very comfortable and the Playboy Club is located in this hotel....what more can I say? This hotel caters to the young and that's cool, the club scene is really awesome and the restaurants are ok, the views from the Playboy club will take your breath away. This hotel is NOT on the strip.

The Palms Hotel las Vegas Review

Our stay at The Palms was fine, can't really complain.  The room was nice and clean.  We had a corner room that was really big, with a great view.  The room that we were given was modern and hall of the basic necessities.  (Loved the bathroom amenities).

We stayed at this hotel for three nights and thought about changing simply because it is not located directly on the strip.  It is 2 large blocks away and you really need to jump into a cab to get over there.  After thinking it out, we decided it would be too much of a hassle to switch hotels and everything else about this hotel was really nice.  Loved, loved, loved the nightclub there.  Simple to stumble back to our room after leaving at the early morning hours.  The pools at The Palms are great.  Excellent service too.

Palms Las Vegas Restaurants

Alize at the Palms Casino and Resort offers fine French cuisine and so much more. The spectacular views from 56 stories above the Strip transform a great meal into an unforgettable experience.

In addition to views, Alize's accolades speak for themselves, most notably the recently awarded Michelin star! World renowned chef Andre Rochat takes the helm of Alize's offerings, creating meals that will make your mouth water as you browse the extensive menu.

The upscale, trendy restaurant Nove Italiano Las Vegas is unforgettable. Located on the 51st floor of the Palms Fantasy Tower, this glitzy establishment boasts some of the best views of any fine-dining restaurant in Las Vegas.

The view isn't the only thing Nove has to brag about. The decor is over-the-top, highlighted by the Swarovski crystal chandeliers and Travertine marble floors. The food, however, is the real draw here. The modern mouth-watering Italian and steakhouse dishes include a lobster pizza and the hand-made Nove spaghetti with scallops, shrimp, calamari and crab.

Gardunos in the Palms offers the best of the Southwest with their festive and zesty New Mexican cuisine. In addition to great food, visitors flock here for Blue Agave, a seafood restaurant within Gardunos, and delicious margarita concoctions. Affordable pricing sweetens the appeal and a great dining area is sure to impress!

Little Buddha offers Asian fusion cuisine and traditional Chinese dishes, and don't be surprised to see a few French accents on the menu. The opulent restaurant in the Palms Resort Casino is a second location of the landmark Buddha Bar in Paris. A stunning dining room offers romantic lighting, Asian-inspired decor and live DJ's spinning world beats.

The Palms Casino Resort's trendy steakhouse N9NE features the pinnacle in aged, prime cuts of steak and the fresh seafood served in a chic, modern dining room. N9NE's clientele is the hip and happening in Las Vegas and it seems like there's always a celebrity in the house. In addition to great food and people watching, this steakhouse also offers a great martini selection prepared by some of Sin City's friendliest bartenders.

Palms Las Vegas Nightlife

4.65

Rain at the Palms in Las Vegas has been one of the city's hottest nightclubs for as long as it has been open, and many of the clubs that have opened since have taken their cue from the atmosphere at Rain. The arena design of the nightclub turns the dance floor into a spectacle, and whether watching or participating, every guest is a part of it.

A giant metal framework is suspended over the dance floor at Rain, and it radiates light and fire, and then cools everyone off by releasing a gentle cloud of mist, leaving everyone on the dance floor hot and sticky, but don't worry, that's a good thing at Rain.

3.5

The crowning achievement of the nightlife circuit at the Palms Resort, Moon is one of Vegas' hottest clubs, and with good reason. It might be the views outside of the floor to ceiling windows, or the retractable roof that opens to the night sky, but something about Moon inspires raw passion and movement to emanate from the crowd.

By no means is Moon akin to a cavernous nightclub, but there are still plenty of spots around the dance floor to get cozy and intimate, as well as some great options for VIP and bottle service.

3

The Playboy Club at the Palms Resort is part of a nightlife experience at the hotel that includes the restaurant, Nove Italiano, and the popular nightclub, Moon. In between the club and the restaurant, the Playboy Club is the perfect stopping point for guests transitioning from dinner to clubbing.

High-stakes gambling, beautiful women dressed in vintage bunny outfits, and a decor that will make you feel like you're in Hef's personal lounge are what make the Playboy Club well worth a visit.

Aside from being one the most swanky lounges Vegas has to offer, GhostBar Las Vegas has the best views in all of Sin City!  Located on the 55th floor of The Palms Resort and Casino, this sexy sky lounge is home the most infamous DJs spinning the trendiest beats off the Strip!

Palms Las Vegas Pools

4

The Palms Pool is undoubtedly one of the best pools in Las Vegas, and is also one of the most popular. The pool at the Palms is a constant party, with multiple bars, multiple pools, and scads of half-clothed people that visit the pool in search of a good time. And that's exactly what the Palms Pool specializes in, a party atmosphere from sun up to sun down.

For the most ambitious pool party-goers, Ditch Fridays is the Palms pool party event that takes place every Friday and features famous DJ's, dancing, and a whole lot of debauchery.
